Skeleton Crew Chronicles 5 - Monthly Update

Gather round, Crewmates. We return in September (...just about) with news, updates and opportunities galore from across the Skeleton Crew for your delectation. Here’s a little of what we’ve been up to in the latest jaunt of our journey through the high seas of indie gaming…

MYTHWRIGHT TO PUBLISH FANGSTORM, JOIN THE PLAYTEST!

Goblins. All my homies hate goblins. That’s why Mythwright are so excited to have teamed up with esteemed solo developer/siegemaster Jamie Janas to bring Fangstorm to the people. Assume the role of an orc demigod and fight off relentless waves of goblin terror, transforming yourself into a meat grinder forged in endless carnage.

You can experience a delicious early taste of this brutal first-person take on the tower defence genre by joining the playtest on Steam now!

FAKUTORI DEMO ROLLS OFF THE CONVEYOR BELT

It’s time for you to take on a calming shift at Fakutori - delivering a laidback twist on factory automation. A cosy colourful outer shell belies a deceptively deep gooey centre to explore, as you chase down Legendary Blocks, plan sprawling production lines and combine elements to craft satisfying factory creations.

If that sounds a bit of you, the free demo has just dropped on Steam! Clock-in, get building and relax.

PANIC STATIONS IN SEARCH OF LEVEL DESIGNER PIGEON

The intrepid pigeons at Panic Stations, the bird brains behind the likes of Frog Sqwad and Very Safe Dino Park, are on the hunt for fresh talent! This time they’re looking for Level Designers, with a particular focus on creating fiendish physics puzzle rooms for co-op titles.

If you’ve got 3+ years of experience in level design with a track record of shipping networked multiplayer titles, come take a look at the job listing and get applying!

TERRATECH LEGION TRAILS ‘INFORMATION OVERLOAD’ UPDATE

Eager prospectors can rejoice in the knowledge that a major new update is in the works for Payload Studios’ bullet heaven builder, TerraTech Legion. While there’s plenty still to be revealed, the developers have shared details of the Codex - providing rapid access to everything pilots need to know about each weapon tag, type and property in the game.

You can prepare for pure robotic carnage by taking a look at the team’s latest Steam blog for a preview of what’s to come.

TAKE TO THE STARS WITH THE MAIN SEQUENCE PLAYTEST

More automation creation for the factory fans, this time in delectable deep space form. Main Sequence starts you with a solitary ship and tasks you with building an interstellar industrial empire, harnessing futuristic technology to mechanize, customize and expand production across multiple space stations.

Now’s the time to make your mark on deep space, with a free playtest running until September 25th on Steam. If you’ve already dipped into the demo, don’t worry - there’s loads of fresh content to discover.

JOIN THE MYTHWRIGHT CREATOR PROGRAM

If you’re a content creator with an appetite for early access to some of the most delightful (in our humble opinion) indie games around, you should get yourself signed up to the Mythwright Creator Program.

You can dive in via Mythwright’s brand new Keymailer site, sign-up and get pre-approval for the keys of your choice - meaning plentiful games to share with your community with minimal fuss.

CLEANER COMPANY DEMO IS LIVE!

Star Wipers, ready your mops! The eagerly awaited Cleaner Company demo is now ready for your consideration, revealing a new map, horrid new monsters and fresh features from beneath a thick layer of alien detritus.

If you prefer your cleaning sims co-operative, galactic and gorier than your older siblings’ DVD collection, there’s a universe of filth awaiting you. Snap on your moon marigolds and get on with it.

Thanks for spending some time with the Skeleton Crew and hope you’re as hyped as we are about all the tasty indie dev happenings this month. Catch you next time.
